Kathmandu, Jan 7: Former Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives and properties in the earthquake that struck Tibet Autonomous Region of China on Tuesday.
A massive earthquake measuring 7.0 in the Richter scale with its epicenter in Tibet struck at 6:50 am on Tuesday claimed over 120 lives and injured over 188, reported the Chinese state media.
The tremors were felt in eastern parts of Nepal as well as Kathmandu Valley.
Taking to his social media account on Tuesday itself, Dahal extended condolences to the fatalities in the quake.
"I extend my heartfelt condolences to Chinese President Xi Jinping, the people of China and the bereaved families of those losing their lives to the quake," he further wrote, wishing speedy recovery of the injured ones.(RSS)
