Kathmandu, Jan 7: Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Ramnath Adhikari has said that the friendly ties between Nepal and China have further deepened.

At a programme organized today by Foundation of Trans-Himalayan and Research Studies on development of Nepal's tourism and agriculture sectors through BRI, Minister Adhikari said that geographic, political, trade and transit relations between the two countries are very close.

Minister Adhikari said that there are immense potentials for investment mostly in the areas of agriculture and tourism industries also due to China's expertise.

Likewise, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song said the Chinese investors are willing to invest in agriculture and tourism projects in Nepal. "Recently, a team of Chinese investors had arrived in Nepal. They are truly excited to invest," the Chinese Ambassador said.

He viewed that development of agriculture was important as a huge chunk of Nepal's population was dependent on this sector.

Similarly, food security expert Dr Yamuna Ghale stated that there are huge investment possibilities in Nepal's agriculture and tourism markets. "The BRI-related investments have helped in production growth in the low-income countries," Dr Ghale argued.(RSS)
