By Thakur Prasad Acharya, Myagdi (Beni), Jan.6: The construction of the ward office building of Beni Municipality Ward- 6 is yet to see the completion .

Even after seven years of construction, the building has yet to be completed, which has affected service delivery as well.

Beni municipality started construction of a ward office building in Arthunge of  Myagdi District from the fiscal year 2075/76. There are 7 rooms including the meeting hall in the two-storey building.

Ward chair-6 Krishna Singh Baniya said that the ward office building, which was started 7 years ago, is yet to be fully completed to come into operation in line with budget issues.

He said, "Though the physical structure is completed finishing needs to be done such as connecting water to toilets, fixing railings, lighting window grills, construction of wall and assembly hall, and furniture management. This is not has hindered effective service delivery."

He said so far Rs 7 million has been spent on the construction, further Rs 3 million is needed to fully complete the building.

He lamented that the request for the budget from Beni Municipality to complete the construction of the building has fallen on deaf ears.

The budget received from the municipality for the ward is insufficient to address even the minor demands of the ward residents, he said.

There has been a problem in completing the construction of the building due to lack of budget allocation from the municipality last year.
