Kathmandu, Jan 5: Ruling party CPN
(UML) and main opposition party CPN (Maoist Centre) are holding their central
committee meetings from today onwards.
In the UML central committee
meeting to be held at 11.00 am today at its Chyasal-based central office, party
Chair and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will present the political report
containing national political context with other content.
UML vice chair Surendra Pandey
informed that arrangements have been made for each central member to put their opinion
on the report and other contemporary issues in three minutes each.
The political report to be
presented in the meeting will cover future action plans, party organization
building, current government formation, partnership in previous governments,
government priorities, constitutional amendment, economic reforms and
cooperatives, among others.
Meanwhile, in the CPN (Maoist
Centre)'s central committee meeting scheduled to take place at its central
office, Parisdanda, at 1.00 pm this afternoon, party Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal
'Prachanda' will present political and organizational report.
Party's vice-cahir and spokesperson
Agni Prasad Sapkota informed that discussion will be held on the report
entitled 'Commitment for Party Transformation and Reconstruction: Today's
Need'.
In the beginning of the meeting,
Chair Dahal is set to brief about the latest political situation and the floor
will be opened for discussion.
The meetings of both the political
parties taking place prior to the winter session of the federal parliament is
said to draw concrete views on the contemporary agendas, including constitution
