Mission to extend internet, telephone services nationwide: Minister Gurung

Lamjung, Dec 19: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung has said the government is on the mission of extending internet and telephone services nationwide.     

Inaugurating a newly constructed administrative building and the Maling Primary Hospital at Kwhlasothar Rural Municipality in Maling of Lamjung on Thursday, he said Lamjung has been chosen at the take-off point for achieving the goal of Digital Nepal Framework.     

 He went on to say that the entire district will be development into the information technology–friendly zone within a year.     

Once the expansion of internet and telephone services completes in the district, the focus will be on promoting advanced government administrative system, according to the government Spokesperson.     

As he pledged, all community schools in Lamjung will be equipped with computer labs and as of today, 10 community schools here got 10 computers each. (RSS)
