Date for 10th National Games will be announced very soon: Sports Minister Chaudhary

Kaski, Dec 4: Minister for Youth and Sports, Tejulal Chaudhary has said a fresh date for the 10th National Games will be announced within a couple of days.     

During his discussions with people from the sports sector at the Pokhara Stadium today, he said the National Games that were earlier scheduled to take place in November in Karnali had to be postponed due to a lack of time for preparations and some remaining works of infrastructure construction.     

There are preparations for organizing the Games in the last week of Fagun (the second week of March 2025) and the date will be announced on Friday, according to the Minister.     

He also pledged to ensure a budget for the enhancement of the sports sector in Pokhara. The government has planned to organise some events under the U-19 Women Cricket World Cup that Nepal will host in 2027 and the government is committed to allocating the budget required for the necessary infrastructure development in the town, he added.
