Beijing, Nov.29: Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Arjun Rana Deuba took stock of a consulate general of Nepal in Chengdu, China, on Friday.
She received a warm welcome from Consulate General Suresh Raut and other officials.
Raut informed about the ongoing activities of the consulate general of Nepal in Chengdu, China, to Foreign Minister Rana.
Reminding about the joint announcement made by Nepal and China about Nepal Visit Year, 2025 on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the formal bilateral relation establishment between Nepal and China, next year, Foreign Minister Rana suggested the Consulate General needs to explore tourism promotion programs of Nepal in China.
She said that this program will further strengthen the relationship between denizens of both countries and help in tourism promotion as well.
She further instructed to identify ways to promote niche Nepali products like tea, coffee, medicinal and aromatic herbs in the Chinese market and to identity possible Nepali eateries in Chengdu.
Nepali ambassador to China Dr Krishna Prasad Oli among other officials were present in the interaction programme. Foreign Minister Dr. Rana is in China to make final arrangements for Prime Minister KP Oli's upcoming visit.
