Art exhibition Inner Landscapes to be held

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Nov. 28: Artudio has announced an art exhibition titled Inner Landscapes featuring the artworks of international artists Chou Meng Yeh from Taiwan and Gerda Liudvinaviciute from Lithuania. 

Artudio is an art hub for contemporary art in Nepal.

Releasing a press statement, Artudio informed that the art exhibition marks the culmination of their creative journeys during the Artudio International Artists Residency (AIAR) 2024 Programme. The exhibition will run from November 29 to December 1 at Artudio daily from 11 AM to 6 PM, as mentioned in the press release. 

“Inner Landscapes invites audiences to delve into the intimate narratives and emotive expressions crafted by the artists. Through their work, both Chou and Gerda explore the delicate interplay between personal introspection and external realities, presenting an immersive experience that challenges conventional perceptions of art and existence,” read the press statement. 

Artist Chou Meng Yeh's multidisciplinary approach reflects her rich academic background in anthropology and fine arts. Her work is often inspired by cultural narratives, identity and spatial perception.   Likewise, Gerda Liudvinaviciute is a Lithuanian artist with an interdisciplinary edge, Gerda combines design, psychology and health studies in her art. Her research focuses on the interconnectedness of human and non-human existence, exploring themes of transformation and embodiment. 

Artudio Founder and Co-Director, Kailash K Shrestha, said “This exhibition is a testament to the power of art that connects us as a universal language. Through their works, Chou and Gerda have brought their unique perspective and contexts during the residency programme and have shared with all the audiences in Nepal, creating a space for introspection and meaningful connections.”
