Kathmandu, Nov 23: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development Prakashman Singh asserted that Nepal had been maintaining friendly relations with the international community including our immediate neighbours.

Addressing a ceremony organized for handing over the electric vehicles by the Chinese government here today, DPM Singh acknowledged the support of the Chinese Embassy in Nepal as a crucial link between Nepal and China.

The EV was provided to the 25-bed Chhatrapati Free Hospital in Kathmandu.

DPM Singh expressed his gratitude towards the Chinese government's in-kind support of EVs at the time when we were grappling with the adverse effects of climate change.

The Hospital that was first set up as a clinic to provide basic healthcare services to the local community has been providing services similar to those of a well-equipped hospital, remarked Singh.

On the occasion, the Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song said that China had been supporting Nepal in its developmental efforts and for prosperity. He mentioned that significant results were being achieved through cooperation between the two countries in varied sectors.

He expressed his happiness that the Hospital, which is also affiliated with the Social Welfare Council, had been providing quality healthcare services at an affordable fee. (RSS)
