Kaski, Nov 10: The District Court, Kaski on Sunday extended the judicial custody of Rabi Lamichhane, President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), for an additional 13 days for investigation.
The single bench of Justice Navaraj Dahal ordered the extended custody for investigation into Lamichhane's involvement into misappropriation of cooperative fund, said Suraj Adhikari, Information Officer at the District Court, Kaski.
The ruling allows the police to continue investigation into Lamichhane's alleged involvement into the case. Police today took the accused Lamichhane to the court as soon as the court was opened for business.
Lamichhane was arrested on October 18 on the charge of financial irregularities related to Suryadarshan Savings and Cooperatives based in Pokhara.
He was then produced in the court two days later. This is the fourth extension of his remand. Police have kept Lamichhane in custody of the District Police Office, Kaski.(RSS)
