By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov.1: The Nepal Oil Corporation Limited has cut the price of diesel and kerosene by Rupee 1 per liter.
The meeting held today by the Board of Directors of the Nepal Oil Corporation Limited reduced the selling price of diesel and kerosene by one rupee per liter, which will come into effect today.
With the price adjustment, diesel per liter for the first class has been fixed at 147 rupees 50 paisa, for the second class at 149 rupees, and for the third class at 150 rupees per liter.
The corporation has classified the Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhganj, Bhalwari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birganj depots as first class, Surkhet and Dang as second class, and Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal depots as third class.
In Nepal, under the automatic fuel price mechanism, the corporation sets prices based on the rates it receives from its sole supplier, the Indian Oil Corporation.
According to the new purchase price received from Indian Oil Corporation today, the price has been adjusted by 0.25 per liter of petrol and 1.04 per liter of diesel.
