Dr. Denila Karki crowned Mrs. Nepal World

By A Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, Oct. 28: Dr. Denila Karki won the title of the Mrs. Nepal World amid a grand finale held at the Nepal Academy Hall, Kathmandu, on Saturday. 

She secured the title, surpassing 28 other contestants.

Amid the grand finale, Karki was honoured with the Mrs. Nepal World title by Anuradha Koirala, director of Maiti Nepal, and senior actress Basundhara Bhusal. Last year’s Mrs. Nepal, Prithiviya Thapa, passed on the crown to this year’s winner, Karki.

With the title, Karki will have the opportunity to represent Nepal at the Mrs. World competition to be held in the United States, as announced during the programme.

Similarly, Suyasha Raut won the title of Mrs. Nepal International and will represent Nepal at Mrs. International in Singapore while Reshma Ghimire was awarded the title of MS Nepal International and will also represent Nepal at MS International in Singapore.

Additionally, Alina Ghimire, Kiran Karki and Anu Karki were named first, second, and third runners-up, respectively in the Mrs Nepal World category.

The Mrs Nepal World has been organised every year to provide a platform for married women. The judges for the competition included Chief Judge Anuradha Koirala, comedian Kedar Ghimire, actress Usha Rajak and Bhaskar Raj Rajkarnikar.

 Meanwhile, Senior actress Basundhara Bhusal was honoured with the honorary title of the Mrs. Nepal World during a programme by the organiser.

 Expressing her happiness, senior comedian Bhusal encouraged women to step forward for the betterment of their lives, contributing to their families and the nation through their skills and expertise.
