Nepal Police to operate free bus services today in Kathmandu

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct 12: Nepal police is operating free bus services today on the occasion of Bijaya Dashami and in view of the situation that very few public vehicles will be plying on the road.

Dan Bahadur Karki, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and central spokesperson of Nepal Police, informed that two buses, one for Kathmandu Ring Road and the other for inside roads, will be operated for free to ease people’s mobility.

Today being the day of Dashain tika, very few public vehicles will be operating on the roads. So we have come up with the plan to operate free bus services for people to make it easy for them to visit their relatives for tika and other essential works, said DIG Karki.

Route of the free buses

One bus will leave from Police headquarters at Naxal to Baluwatar, Teaching hospital, Chakrapath, New Buspark, Balaju, Swoyambhu, Kalanki, Balkhu, Satdobato, Lagankhel, Jawalakhel, Thapathali, Maitighar, Putali Sadak and Jay Nepal Cinema and return to Naxal to resume next round. The other bus will also leave from Naxal and make a route to Ratopul, Gaushala, Airport, Koteshwor, Thimi, Sallaghari, Suryabinayak, Chahabil, Sukedhara, Chakrapath, Teaching hospital, Baluwatar and then come back to Naxal.
