Amount for temporary housing to landslides, floods victims to be sent once report is received

By Kedar Timalsina, Kavreplanchowk, Oct. 7: Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has said that the first tranche for construction of temporary housing to the victims of landslides and floods will be dispatched within three days from the time locals levels send reports about the details of the damage.

While in observation of the floods and landslides areas in Panauti, Bethankchowk and Roshi of Banepa, Minister Lekhak said a sum of Rs. 25,000 for building temporary housing will be provided to the victims within three days of the report from the local levels.

He said households with five members who have lost their house completely will get Rs. 15,000 for foodstuff immediately while the family with more than five members will get Rs. 20,000 for the same purpose.

The Home Minister pledged that the government will ensure adequate relief amount for the victims of rain-induced disaster.
