Krishna Niure is the Man of the Year Nepal

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Oct. 3: Krishna Niure from Rupandehi won the title of the first edition of ‘Man of the Year Nepal 2024,’ in its grand finale held in the capital on Tuesday. 

Niure, who has been residing in the USA, returned to Nepal to participate in the auditions for the competition. 

From the top 20 finalists selected for the grand finale, the top five were chosen and Niure was declared the winner. 

As the winner, Niure received a cash prize of Rs. 700,000 and the winner’s trophy.

 He will also have the opportunity to represent Nepal in the global ‘Man of the Year’ competition, which will be held in Thailand.

The awards and trophy were presented to Niure by the brand ambassador and judge of the event, actor Anoop Bikram Shahi, choreographer-actor Prashant Tamrakar, event director Sansad Shah, executive director Sweekrity Pyakuryal, and judges Rajbhai Suwal and Karan Vaidya.

Among the top five contestants, Utsav Shrestha won the title of ‘Masculine Man of the Year’ while Prabin Acharya received the title of ‘Mindful Man of the Year’. 

Abhimanyu Khadka won ‘Modern Man of the Year’, Anmol Bhandari received ‘Masterful Man of the Year’ and Krishna Niure also secured the title of ‘Manly Man of the Year’

In the subcategories among the top 20, Pravesh Dangol was declared ‘Most Talented’,  Anmol Bhandari won ‘Public Choice’, Hrithik Shrestha was named ‘Most Photogenic’  and Ishwor Chhathkuli was recognised for ‘Best Walk’.

 The finalists were selected from over 100 participants through auditions held in various major cities across the country. 

The organisers, You Can Fly Fashion Pvt. Ltd., concluded the final round on Tuesday, declaring the winner.
