By Arjun Kafle,Syangja Oct.1: The Botanical Mathematical Park along the Gadyauli River in Arjunchaupari Rural Municipality-1 is currently under construction.

While numerous municipalities invest billions in tower projects, Arjunchaupari is prioritising this innovative park initiative.

Developed under the Chief Minister’s Innovation Partnership Programme, the park is funded with 70 per cent from Gandaki Province and 30 per cent from Arjunchaupari Rural Municipality.

This multi-year initiative has completed its first phase, marking a significant development as the first of its kind in the district.

Chairman Prakash Tiwari highlighted that the municipality has focused on infrastructure projects during its first year.

Achievements to date include the construction of two gazebos, a Gadyauli structure, an exercise park, and the installation of security equipment such as CCTV and lighting, as well as a wire fence.

Tiwari reported that Rs. 5.5 million has been spent thus far, noting some delays in the completion of the first phase, with only half of the work finished.

For the second phase, the provincial government has allocated Rs. 7.5 million, with the rural municipality contributing an additional 30 per cent.

This phase will focus on introducing local fish species into the Gadyauli River, planting various plant species, and constructing footpaths, garden bridges, and additional park facilities along the river.

The third phase aims to promote Arjunchaupari as a tourist destination, creating attractive tourist packages centred around Gadyauli and Panchakanya. Tiwari expressed the goal of developing educational opportunities for local students, establishing a model for the park district.

Covering 100 ropanis of land near the rural municipality’s administrative building, the park is anticipated to attract tourists, municipalities, and students from across the country for educational purposes once completed.
