Security makes all-out efforts for rescue, relief; over 750 rescued in Kathmandu Valley alone

Kathmandu, Sept 28: The security agencies and related government mechanisms have been mobilized effectively in the disaster-hit areas across the country. They are making all-out efforts to rescue the needy people and provide relief.     

The meeting of the 'monsoon preparedness and response command post' held under the chairmanship of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak decided to make the rescue and relief operations effective and collect information on the loss and damages.     

Home Minister Lekhak directed the security agencies and related mechanisms to clear the high obstructions as soon as possible. "All security agencies and their mechanisms are making all-out efforts to minimize the impacts of floods and landslides," he informed.     

More than 750 people have been rescued by the teams mobilized by the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, and the Armed Police Force. (RSS)
