No tax on Nepali products to enter China: Ambassador Chen

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Sept 27: China is all set to exempt all kinds of taxes for Nepali products to enter its market.

Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song informed about this today at a special ceremony organised to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China (PRC).

He said that all Nepali products will be allowed to enter China from December onwards without any taxes that are levied on imports.



The Chinese announcement is expected to facilitate Nepal’s export to China and thereby reduce trade deficit on the part of Nepal.

Expressing commitment to further cooperation in different sectors with Nepal, the Chinese ambassador said that there were 2,500 Nepali students studying in China and that China will mark 2025 as Nepal visit year so as to promote Nepali tourism in China.

He said China wishes to see Nepal as a prosperous, strong and independent country which will also be beneficial for the northern neighbour.

Referring to China’s rise in the last 75 years, the Chinese Ambassador said that China has been able to stand up, prosper and take strides since the establishment of the PRC.
