Congress needs to bring youth to leadership: Leader Koirala

By Liladhar Oli, Ghorahi, Sept.26: Leader of the Nepali Congress and former general secretary Dr Shashank Koirala has said that youth needs to be promoted for party leadership.

Addressing a meeting organized by the Nepali Congress, Dang, at Ghorahi on Thursday, the former general secretary said that the young generation needs to be brought to leadership to make NC organized, strong, and efficient.  

Mentioning that there is not a single member of the youth party below the age of 40, leader Koirala said that there is a need to attract youths to the party.  

Koirala said that youth needs to be assigned a place even if it is by amending the party's statute of the party.

He said, "The matters and participation of youth should not be limited in speech, it needs to be shown in action. The party needs to heed attention not only to increase the youth representation not only at the party leadership level but also in the government."
