Kathmandu, Sept 15 : Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) Devraj Ghimire has invited the chief whips and whips of major parties represented in the HoR for a discussion in order to resume the house business.

According to Federal Parliament Spokesperson Ekram Giri, the Speaker is having a meeting with the Nepali Congress, CPN (UML), the main opposition party (Maoist Centre) and the chief whip of the opposition Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSW).

In HoR meeting on August 28,  MPs of the Maoist Centre expressed their displeasure with the word 'violence' used by UML MP Yogesh Bhattarai and demanded that the word be removed from the record of the Parliament.

However, Speaker denied removing the word violence from the record and in the meeting on September 11, the Maoist MPs disrupted the parliament proceedings.

After the party's MPs announced that they would disrupt today's meeting as well, the Speaker called the meeting to find a way out to end deadlock surfacing in the parliament.

Today's meeting of the House of Representatives has been called for 1: 00 PM. (RSS)
