Kupandole road renovated, traffic resumes

Lalitpur, Sept 15: A section of the road in Kupandol that caved in on Saturday afternoon has been renovated and traffic resumed since 9:00 am today.  

 
The road caved in and was flooded after a water supply pipe of the Melamchi Drinking Water Project burst open. The broken pipe was repaired in coordination between the water supply authority and the road division office.    

Even though vehicles can operate over the repaired road section it will take some time before the road is paved, said Nirajan Pandey, supervisor of the road division office.  (RSS)
