UML politburo meeting: Discussion on annual action plan begins

Kathmandu, Sept 3: The annual plan of action the CPN (UML) was presented in today's politburo meeting of the party. 

UML general-secretary Shanker Pokharel presented the party's annual action plan in the meeting held at the party central office in Lalitpur (Chyasal) presided over by its chair KP Sharma Oli, informed party's publicity department chief Rajendra Gautam. 

The action plan includes party membership, expansion and documentation, regular conventions of the party and people's organisations, evaluation of party committees and leaders and cadres, he said. 

"Emphasis has been laid on whether the party will complete the tasks given by the committee, whether it is active. It has also been included in the action plan to evaluate whether the party committees are running in a lawful manner," Gautam said. 

Similarly, the action plan also includes effective mobilization of the government and people's representatives and reaching out the works done by the government to the people's level.

All politburo members are scheduled to air their views tomorrow. The action will be disclosed after finalizing based on the recommendations of the politburo members, Gautam said. (RSS)
