Chopper carrying CM Kandel makes emergency landing in Aathbiskot

By Raju Lamichhane, Rukum Paschim, Sept 1: A helicopter carrying Karnali province Chief Minister Yamlal Kandel has made an emergency landing at a stadium located at Radi in Aathbiskot Municipality-9 of Rukum Paschim.

The chopper was en-route to Surkhet from Dolpa and had to make an emergency landing due to bad weather, according to DSP Nawaraj Pokharel of the Rukum Paschim district police office.

With call sign 9NAKD, the chopper belongs to Simrik Air.

There were five people including CM Kandel and his spouse on board the chopper.

CM Kandel was in Dolpa to visit Tripura Sundari Temple in Dolpa and also observe a fair in the district.

Presently, CM Kandel and all the others are staying safely at a hotel in Radi and they will fly to Surkhet once the weather become clear, according to the police.
