Two deceased of Banke bus accident identified

By Siraj Khan, Nepalgunj, Aug.29: The two deceased of the Banke bus accident have been identified as 60-year-old Man Bahadur Oli and 24-year-old Santosh Bhushal. Oli was an onboard passenger and Bhushal was a co-driver. 

Two people have been killed and 27 injured after a bus overturned being out of control in Ganapur along the Nepalgunj-Kohalpur Road section of Banke district on Thursday. 

According to the DDeputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the District Police Office, Banke, Narayan Dangi, a bus with a registration number (Bhe 1 Kha 2128) heading towards Nepalgunj to Dang overturned after being put out of control while trying to save a motorcycle in front of Namaste Cottage at Ganapur along the Nepalgunj-Kohalpur Road section of Banke district. 

DSP Dangi said that both of them died in the course of treatment at the Bheri Hospital. 21 are receiving treatment at Bheri Hospital and five are receiving treatment at Nepalgunj Medical College (NGMC). 

One receiving treatment at Bheri Hospital has been discharged. 

Police have taken control of the bus driver after the accident. 

It is seen in the CCTV footage that the bus coming from the opposite direction was moving at high speed and while trying to save a motorcycle the bus overturned and hit the bike.
