Kathmandu, Aug 28: The Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has drawn the attention of the Parliament over the incident that occurred at Tundikhel in connection with celebrating the cultural festival Gaura Parba on Monday.

Speaking during the 'urgent time' in the meeting of the House of Representatives today, a lawmaker from the RSP, Hari Dhakal, said that the protest by youths during the Gaura celebrations at Tundikhel should not be taken otherwise, but only as a manifestation of democratic exercise.

"The government should not take the incident as a form of anarchy and take action against the people involved in it. The political parties and the government should be tolerant of such protest incidents carried out by youths linking them with several incidences of irregularities and corruption taking place in the country," lawmaker Dhakal said.

It may be noted that some youths chanted slogans against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli during the Gaura Parba celebration at Tundikhel on Monday. (RSS)
