Be united to win engineer association election-President Deuba

Kathmandu, Aug 24: Nepali Congress (NC) President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has urged to make the candidates of the NC-close Centre for Democratic Engineers Nepal (CDEN) winner in the election of the Nepal Engineer Association.     

In his address to a grand gathering of the democratic group for the 34th central executive committee of the Association here today, he urged the party cadres to unite and ensure the victory of the CDEN candidates.     

NC is a democratic party, President Deuba said instructing the cadres to make preparations to win the election of Nepal Engineers Association in healthy competition.     

On the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development Prakash Man Singh urged the engineers to move ahead responsibly in the development works of the country.     

On the occasion, CDEN President Engineer Laxman KC, Election Mobilization Committee Coordinator Dr Jagdish Chandra Pokharel, Association Presidential candidate Engineer Subash Chandra Baral, among others, said the country's development would not be possible without engineers.     

They stressed the need for the government to come up with a special scheme to provide employment to the engineers who are migrating abroad.(RSS)
