19 injured as bus overturns being hit by falling stone

By Shaligram Nepal, Chitwan, Aug. 23: Some Nineteen passengers have been injured when a running bus was hit by a stone falling down from the hill at Satrakilo along the Mugling-Narayangadh road section.

The bus with registration number Ga 2 Kha 47 was heading to Pokhara from Gaur of Rautahat when it was hit by the stone rolling down from the hill slope along the road at about 1:50 pm in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29.

Bheshraj Rijal, spokesperson at the Chitwan district police office, informed that 19 people in the bus were injured after the bus fell on its side as the driver lost control after being hit by the stone.

Of the injured, condition of two is critical, according to the police.

The injured are under treatment at Bharatpur hospital and Chitwan Medical College.
