His ability to capture the essence of life in the hills and convey deep emotions through his music has made him one of the most respected and beloved artists in the Nepali music scene.

After releasing several EPs and a full-length album, Bipul has come up with his new song ‘Bahra Mahina’. The song was released worldwide on August 14.

According to the singer, the song is a fusion of traditional styles of Nepali oral folk, storytelling of the Himalayas with mainstream reggae rhythms of Jamaica. It speaks of the age-old dilemma of having to spend one’s youth working hard to ensure a financially secure future for an older self while missing out on all the experiences of the present that only the young can appreciate.

Written, composed and arranged by Bipul Chettri himself, he is also credited as the vocalist and guitarist for the song. Mixed and mastered by Binaya Man Amatya, the song was recorded at Plug ‘N’ Play Studio, New Delhi, India. In the song, Pranai Gurung is on guitar, Rahul Rai in Bass, Ritwik De in guitar, ukulele and keys, Bhushan Amatya in drums and percussions, Prince Nepali in Sarangi and Chie Nishikori in trombones and trumpet.
