Sudurpashchim govt to provide relief to families of landslide victims

By Avinash Chaudhary, Dhangadhi, Aug.19: The provincial government of Sudurpashchim has decided to provide relief of Rs 100,000 per person to the families of those who lost their lives in the landslide in Bajhang. 

Chief Minister of the Sudurpaschim Province Kamal Bahadur Shah has expressed sorrow over the incident and announced that the provincial government will provide relief. Four people of the same family of Bungal municipality-10 were killed when a landslide fell on their house on Saturday night due to the constant rainfall. A landslide fell on the home of local Bir Bahadur Dhami. 

A 55-year-old wife of Bir Bahadur Dhami Kali Dhami, elder daughter-in-law Golki Dhami, six-year-old granddaughter Aakriti Dhami, and three-year-old granddaughterLaxmi Dhami died by being buried in the landslide. Six other people were injured in the incident.

The CM has given directives for the immediate rescue and relief of the Dhami family severely affected by the landslide.
