Teacher arrested for abetment of suicide of his student

By Chitra Mizar,  Sindhupalchok, Aug.19: The police have arrested Niran Karki alias 'Manoj' in the case of abetment of suicide of a 15-year-old girl of Thokarpa, Sunkoshi Rural Municipality, Sindhupalchowk.

According to the Chief of Police Santosh Khadka, the accused Niran Karki has been arrested. The District Court Sindhupalchok, has extended the limit of five days to investigate the case. 

The brother of the victim Deepak Rokka has alleged that Niran Karki's love trapped his student Sandhya Rokka and tortured her mentally, physically, and forced her to commit suicide after defaming her on social media. 

Niran is an English teacher of Bagh Bhairab Secondary School Sindhupalchok and Rokka was her student. Niran has signed into a new Facebook account and posted various things intending to assassinate Sandhya's character. 

Deepak had filed a complaint at the district Police Office for abetment of suicide as per the 'National Penal (CODE) ACT, 2017'.
