Bagmati govt announces public holiday on Aug 20 to mark Gaijatra

By Ram Mani Dahal, Hetauda, Aug.17: The Bagmati provincial government has announced a public holiday on August 20 to mark the Gaijatra festival.

The cabinet meeting held at the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers of the Bagmati Provincial government, Hetauda, made a decision to give a public holiday throughout the province on the occasion of Gaijatra on Tuesday.

Minister for Interior Affairs and Law Surajchandra Lamichhane said that the provincial government cabinet meeting decided to give a holiday next Tuesday for the Gaijatra festival.

The Bagmati Provincial government also gave a public holiday in Gaijatra festival in the year 2021.
