Govt believes Bangladesh ensures smooth transition to peace, stability

Kathmandu, Aug 7: The government has believed that Bangladesh will be able to ensure a smooth transition towards peace and stability.     

Issuing a press statement on Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Nepal government is closely following the recent political developments in Bangladesh.     

"We are deeply concerned about the loss of lives and properties during the protests over the last few weeks in Bangladesh. We convey our sincere condolences and sympathies to the families of those who lost lives and wish all those injured a speedy and full recovery," the statement read.     

Moreover, the government called for calm and restraint by all and stressed the importance of an orderly return to democratic process in Bangladesh.(RSS)
