By Keshab Gurung, Kathmandu, Aug.7: The grade increment examination of the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) has begun today. The supplementary exam is scheduled from 11 AM to 2 PM.

To accommodate those who did not pass the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) of March 28, 2024, the Board is conducting the grade increment exams from Wednesday.

Students who received ‘NG’ (Non-Graded) or were absent during the regular examinations will have the opportunity to take this supplementary exam.

The examination will commence at 11 AM.

The National Examination Board (NEB) is conducting the supplementary exam following the results of more than half of the examinees in SEE were Non-Graded. The non-graded students will not get access to join grade 11.

Previously, only candidates with NG in a maximum of two subjects were allowed to appear for grade enhancement exams. This time, the government has arranged to give a chance exam to all the failed examinees.

A total of 200,000 students have appeared for the supplementary exam today in 550 centers across the country. About 600,000 question papers have been printed for all subjects.

The enhancement exam session has started with a Compulsory English paper.
