Implementation of constitution, effective public service delivery in priority: PM Oli

Kathmandu, Aug 6: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has argued the two big political parties in the parliament collaborated to run a government for the implementation of constitution, good-governance, and effective public service delivery so that people's frustration would be wiped out.     

In a meeting with the newly appointed Chief Minister of Bagmati Province Bahadur Singh Lama and the provincial ministers at the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Minister on Tuesday, PM Oli urged the visiting delegation to pay attention to implementing federalism as well as addressing the public's aspiration for development.     

"The current coalition of the Nepali Congress and CPN UML is realized by acknowledging the problems in the country which warrant attention and address. The equation is not for power-sharing and appointment," PM Oli made it clear.     

According to him, the two political parties had been working together for addressing national crisis from ending the Rana regime, Panchayat era, and management of armed struggle to establishment of federal republic. "     

"Our current equation is formed with a special resolution to address difficult situation of the country including economic crisis," Oli said, expressing his expectation that the provincial government works towards ensuring prosperity.     

The septuagenarian leader requested the newly formed provincial government and its chief to deliver on education, health, agriculture production, development of infrastructures, employment and good-governance.     

Furthermore, the Head of the Government suggested the visiting delegation to emphasize frugality on the public expenditure, increase in revenue collection and proper utilization of public properties.     

"I would like to place a special request to the provincial government to say no to corruption and to work in tandem to eliminate anomalies and vices prevailing the Bagmati Province and confusion among the public," PM said.     

He was confident that the new provincial government would fulfill its responsibilities by winning the confidence of the public rather than imposing authority.(RSS)
