Incessant rainfall disrupts flights at TIA

Kathmandu, Aug 6: Incessant rainfall across the country from Monday night has affected flights. According to Tribhuvan International Airport Office, both flights—domestic and international from TIA have been disrupted due to poor visibility following incessant rainfall.    


General Manager at TIA, Jagannath Niraula said a Turkish Airlines' plane was diverted to Lucknow of India and Air India's plane to Banaras this morning.   

 
The regular domestic flights have been affected due to rain and the flights are delayed, according to the TIA. Niraula mentioned that with the improvement in visibility, flights are now in regular operation from TIA.    


The Meteorological Forecasting Division has forecast heavy to extremely heavy rainfall today and tomorrow. Specially, there is a chance of heavy rainfall at one or two places of Koshi Province, Madhes Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Sudurpaschim Province. (RSS)
