Kathmandu, Aug 6: Vector and water-borne disease infection is found increasing across the country.
One person has died due to dengue,
the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division under the Department of Health
Services stated on Tuesday. 2,365 people
throughout the country have been infected with dengue in the last seven and
half months.
Dengue has spread in 73 districts
of the country. The number of infected persons is 537 in Koshi Province, 46 in
Madhes Province, 747 in Bagmati Province, 508 in Gandaki Province, 247 in
Lumbini Province, 38 in Karnali Province and 242 in Sudurpaschim Province,
according to the Division.
Similarly, 287 cases of dengue have
been recorded in Kathmandu Valley, 137 cases in Kaski, 133 cases in Jhapa, 116
cases in Chitwan and 110 cases in Tanahu.
Likewise, the number of cholera
cases has been increasing. EDCD said that cholera has been confirmed in 30
people across the country. So far there is no casualty from cholera. (RSS)
