Shah appointed Sudurpashchim CM for second time

By Awinash Chaudhary, Dhangadhi, Aug 4: Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party Leader of Sudurpashchim Province Kamal Bahadur Shah has been appointed as Chief Minister of the province. 

Province Chief Najir Miya appointed Shah as Chief Minister of the Province on Sunday as per Article 168 (2) of the constitution of Nepal.

Earlier today, Shah submitted his claim to the post before Province Chief Najir Miya with the support of the Nepali Congress and UML.

In the provincial Assembly Shah has support of NC's 18 and UML's 11 votes. To be appointed CM the support of 27 members is needed. 

This is the second time Shah has become the CM of the Sudurpashchim Province. 

He was appointed CM of the province for the first time on February 9, 2023.
