Govt accords priority to good governance, economic reset: Minister Gurung

Lamjung, July 27: Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, has said that the government formed after the agreement between Nepali Congress and UML had accorded top priority to reform in governance and the national economy.     

Minister Gurung who arrived in his home district after he became minister was felicitated by the Madhyanepal municipal committee, UML on Saturday. During the felicitation programme, Minister Gurung commented that development could not gain pace as per the expectation of not having a stable government.     

He urged all sides concerned to concentrate on bringing reform in governance and economy.     

The Minister also claimed that public trust was growing in the present government, so it warrants effective delivery. "There is no luxury to the government to become a failure," he reminded.     


According to him, the Ministry was planning to ensure free internet facilities for all community schools.     

On the occasion, municipal committee chair Suman Shrestha wished a successful tenure to Minister Gurung.     


Even the office bearers of the committee, party cadres and locals garlanded and offered shawls to the Minister in his honour. (RSS)
