By Chhabi Lal Pandey, Butwal, July 24: The newly appointed Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya of Lumbini Province and other eight ministers from UML and Nepali Congress took the oath of office and secrecy on Wednesday morning.

Province Chief Amik Sherchan administered Acharya the oath amidst a ceremony held at the Office of the Province Chief. Five lawmakers from CPN (UML) including the Chief Minister and four from NC have the ministry in the Ministerial cabinet of the Lumbini Province. 

After being sworn in as the Chief Minister, Acharya has expanded his cabinet. He appointed eight provincial lawmakers as ministers without portfolios.

According to the Office of the Province Chief, the appointed ministers from UML without portfolios are Bhumishwar Dhakal of Rupandehi, Dinesh Panthi of Gulmi, Khem Bahadur Saru of Palpa, Sita Sharma from Dang. Likewise, the appointed ministers from NC without portfolios are Dhanendra Karki from Gulmi, Saroj Thapa (Roj Rana)from Pyuthan, Prachanda Bikram Neupane from Dang, Bhad Shah Kurmi, from Banke. 

The ministry will be assigned by tomorrow to all ministries who were sworn in without portfolios.
