Landslide affects hospital service in Tanahun

By Amar Raj Naharki, Tanahun, July 23: The services of a hospital in Tanahun have been affected after the landslide-induced damage. 

The services of Purnadih Hospital located in Purnadihi, Sepa Bagaincha, Bhanu Muniicplaity-5, have been affected by the landslide. With this, the local patients are compelled to look for services far away. 

According to the Chief of the Health Division at Bhanu Municipality, Aishwarya Chandra Bhattarai, the landslide has induced damage to the laboratory, delivery room of the hospital building, and ambulance. Currently, basic services are being provided by the hospital. 

He said that a loss of more than Rs 10 million has been incurred by the landslide. 

The laboratory services and maternity services have been completely closed following the landslide. 

The people's representatives of the Bhanu Municipality are planning to meet the  Minister for Health and Population Pradeep Paudel and request budget allocation to repair the damage and resume the services of the hospital.
