By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, July 20: Nepali art enthusiasts have established Manvi Studios Inc in Canada, aiming to promote Nepali films, art and culture.
Located in Ontario, Canada, the Manvi Studios plans to engage in various media forms, including film, music, video, TV commercials, podcasts, documentaries, and event management.
The Studio has hit the ground running with its first podcast episode featuring Bharat Raj Paudyal, the Ambassador of Nepal to Canada.
The next episode will feature singer Himal Sagar, who is currently visiting Canada for a musical event.
As the Nepali community in Canada is growing, the studio aims to foster cultural integration and mutual understanding between the two communities.
The organisation intends to invite Nepali artists and personalities to Canada to organise events and to facilitate the distribution of Nepali films, ensuring diaspora participation.
Manvi Studios is founded by Vidhan Karki, a renowned filmmaker, and Manisha Pokharel, an art director.
Both founders had managed the US-based entertainment company Nepcine in Nepal for many years.
“Our mission is to serve both the Canadian Nepali community and the broader Canadian audience. We aim to create a platform that celebrates and promotes cultural exchange through visual and performing arts,” said Karki.
Karki further added that the studio is dedicated to serving as a cultural bridge between Nepal and Canada, promoting a rich exchange of art and culture.
