Simaltal landslide update: Two dead bodies found in India

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 19: Two more bodies of the missing passenger of the Simaltal landslide have been recovered in the Narayani River in Champaran Nagaha, India. The accident occurred on July 12. 

According to the Co-Spokesperson of the Armed Police Force (APF), Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shailendra Thapa,  the two bodies were recovered by the Special Service Bureau, and were retrieved by the security personnel Border Out Post by the Triveni team mobilized at the border, Nepal Police, and local people’s representatives. 

So far, the bodies of 23 of the total 65 passengers have been recorded. 15 recovered bodies have been identified while bodies of eight male and one female are yet to be identified. 

One of the buses belonging to Ganapati Deluxe Travel with registration number Bagmati Province 001 Kha 2495, was heading to Gaur, Rautahat, from Kathmandu while another belonging to Angels Travels with number Bagmati Province 03-006 Kha-1516, was going to Kathmandu from Birgunj.
