By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 18: Speaker Devraj Ghimire held
discussion with the chief whips of the political parties in the parliament
about the upcoming business of the House of the Representatives (HoR) on
Thursday.
Mahesh Bartaula, chief whip of the ruling party, said that the
discussion was focused on arrangement for the meeting of the HoR on July 21 as
the Prime Minister is seeking vote of confidence from the parliament on the same
day.
He said
Speaker Ghimire made work plan for the upcoming 15 days- July 21-23 to conduct
the HoR meeting, 24-26 to hold Committee meeting and July 28-30 to run the HoR
meeting.
Chief whip
Bartaula said the Speaker initiated discussion so as to send the Bills under
consideration to the HoR by holding intense discussion, fulfill the vacant post
of members in the committees and elect the member and Chair in the joint
committees.
Chief whip
of the main opposition party CPN (Maoist Center), Hit Raj Pande, said that
Speaker Ghimire held discussions on work schedule of the parliament.
He said the
discussion was focused on making the schedule for July 21 and 22 in the context
that the Prime Minister is seeking vote of confidence on July 21 and hold question
and answer with the HoR members on July 22.
Pande said a
meeting of the business management committee to be held tomorrow (Friday) will
finalise the schedule.
