Four injured in Jajarkot landslide

By Sahadev Basnet, Jajarkot, July 17: A landslide in Jajarkot district buried a makeshift house injuring four people.  

The landslip occurred just above the house of Dalsari Thapa and Bishnu Thapa located at Dullena, Kushe Rural Municipality-8, injuring them. 

According to the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the District Police Office, Jajarkot, Purushottam Pandey, the injured are identified as 35-year-old Dalsari Thapa his four-year-old daughter Hastika Thapa 29-year-old Kamala Thapa and 17-year-old Nirmaya Thapa of the same place. 

The condition of Bishnu Thapa is said to be critical. 

Ward chair-8 Dilli Bahadur Singh said that the police team went to the site for the rescue just after the incident took place. 

According to ward chair-8 Singh, the injured are carried to a safe place with the help of locals and preparations are underway to send them to the District Hospital, Jajarkot. Those in serious condition will be airlifted to Nepalgunj for further treatment. 

DSP Pandey said that the airlifting process has been delayed because of unfavourable weather conditions.
