Ex-election commissioner Sharma no more

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, July 13: Ila Sharma, former commissioner of Election Commission Nepal and former journalist at The Rising Nepal, has passed away. She was 59. Former member of National Women's Commission and National Human Rights Commission Mohana Ansari, one of Ila's close friends, confirmed Sharma's passing away. She died of cardiac arrest on Saturday evening. 

"Norvic International Hospital, Thapathali, declared her dead this evening," Ansari told The Rising Nepal. Sharma worked at The Rising Nepal for 13 years. Later, she served as Election Commissioner. She is survived by two daughters.
