Landslide blocks Besisahar-Chame road

Lamjung, July 15: The Besisahar-Chame road has been blocked due to a landslide. The only road connecting Lamjung to Manang has been blocked by a landslide this morning at Syange in Masryangdi Rural Municipality-4 of Lamjung.    

Police Inspector Meghnath Chapagain of the District Police Office said that the road was blocked due to a landslide that has gathered large rocks on the road. He said that it will take some time to open the road by clearing the landslide debris.    
    
Under the road sector, the Manang section remains blocked since the evening of July 2. Traffic has not been able to operate after a wooden bridge and the concrete motor bridge were washed away by the Timang River in Chame Rural Municipality. (RSS)
