Three Yarsha looters nabbed in Mugu

Mugu, July 7: Police held three persons along with arms for their alleged involvement in the looting of Yarsha from Mugu.     

The District Police Office, Mugu, made public those three persons on Sunday by organizing a news conference.     

Those arrestees include Ganesh Bhandari, Purna Prasad Bhandari and Kamal Thapa of Guthichaur Rural Municipality in Jumla district.     

They were held along with the arms from a highland near Chanelekh of Patarashi Rural Municipality-3 in Jumla, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Birendra Thapa said.     

DSP Thapa said that five others involved in the wrongdoings are still absconding.     

A gang of eight people looted properties in the Dolphu village of Karmarong Rural Municipality-1 on May 28.     

The gang looted 35 tola of gold, 994 tola of gold, Buddha's idol, Yarsha, muga necklace of 95 tola, mobile phones and Rs 5 million in cash. (RSS)
