Traffic resumes along Hetauda-Dakshinkali roadway

Kathmandu, July 6: The vehicular movement has resumed recently along the Hetauda-Dakshinkali roadway which was halted after a landslip at Chhepare of Indrasarobar rural municipality-2 due to a landslip triggered by incessant rainfall last night.

Deputy Superintendent of Police in Makwanpur, Laxmi Bhandari, informed that the debris on the road was removed to resume the two-way traffic. 

Most of the roadways linking Hetauda to Kathmandu have been blocked due to incessant rain since Friday.

Landslip at Pratapdanda of Bhimphedi rural municipality-8 along the Kanti Highway blocked traffic. Efforts are underway to clear the obstruction. 

The Police further informed that landslide occurred near Mahalaxmi stream of Indrasarobar rural municipality-5 also disturbed the traffic.

The debris at Ratomate of Bhimphedi rural municipality along Bhimphedi-Kathmandu roadway is being removed with the coordination of Road Department. 

Meanwhile, vehicular movement has resumed after clearing obstruction at Tharpu Khairenitar road section along the Prithvi Highway, according to the District Police Office. (RSS)
