Tanahun declared a full vaccination assured district

Damauli (Tanahun), July 3: Tanahun has been declared a full vaccination assured district.    

Earlier, all the ten municipalities of the district were declared fully vaccinated municipalities. At a programme organized by the Health Office on Tuesday, all children below 15 months have been vaccinated as per the schedule of the National Immunization Programme.    

Chief of the Health Office, Bidya Tamang said the data of all the children who missed vaccination was collected and immunization services provided.    
On the occasion, Chief of District Coordination Committee and Coordinator of District Level Vaccination Coordination Committee Shanti Raman Wagle stressed the need for sustainability of vaccination.    

Immunization officer at the Health Office, Shankar Babu Adhikari informed children of 85 wards of all the 10 municipalities of the district have been assured with full vaccination service.    

Health Section Chief at Byas municipality, Pramod Soti said 2,818 children aged between 16 months and five years have been brought within the reach of all the vaccines. Similarly, 1,011 children up to 15 months have also been vaccinated. (RSS)
