Flood displaces 24 houses in Makalu

Khandbari June 21: Total 24 households have been displaced due to flood at Sagseva of Makalu rural municipality-6 in Sankhuwasabha district.     

Chief District Officer Dhruba Bahadur Khadka informed that 24 houses were at high risk due to flood and landslide that occurred in the Guhe Kholsa stream after continuous rainfall for a week.     

The families at high risk have been shifted to safer locations and in their relative's houses. However, no human loss was reported.     

CDO Khadka further shared that the details of the damage were being collected. According to him, the flood also washed away the road.     

About 30 meters of the road has been damaged due to the landslide at Bhotkhola rural municipality-4, Khadka added.(RSS)
